Homework Information
**In the 2017-18 school year we will continue using the math program Investigations. There will be more information coming home about how homework will be done and when. Please be patient while our third grade team meets and organizes our thoughts and ideas on what works best for everyone involved with this newer material!
Our homework this year will be made up mainly of math practice, reading and comprehension.
There are two objectives with the weekly homework. One objective is to have students practice concepts and skills at home that reinforce what we are working on in class and the other goal is to work on the responsibility aspect that comes with homework. This is a skill that will be very useful in the future.
Please make sure that you are providing guidance to your child as needed and checking the homework over before it is sent back to school. Have the student write their own name and date on each page. Once students have learned their names in cursive this will be great practice!
** If you and your child are having difficulty with a certain problem or page, please just initial it, write a brief note, or e-mail me so I know and I will work with your child a little more on that concept here at school.
